Signed permanently for the Bloods from Chester City in March 2004 after a loan spell with the club. Brodie made around 150 appearances in the full time game including a handful for Sunderland. Most of his Football League career was spent with Scarborough but after suffering relegation with them he moved to Swansea City from whom he joined Chester in 2002. Also had a loan spell at Leigh RMI.
